The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association, JAAA, has released the names of the athletes that will represent the Jamaica at the World Athletics Championships, Commonwealth Games and World Athletics Under-20 Championships.

The World Championships list is headed by national double sprint champion, Shericka Jackson, double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah and current World Champion in the Women’s 100m, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. 2011 100m World Champion, Yohan Blake and Olympic 110m Hurdles champion Hansle Parchment leads the charge for the men’s squad. The championship takes place from July 15-24 in Eugene, Oregon.

The Commonwealth Games are set to take place right after the World Championships, from July 28 to August 8 in Birmingham, England.

The 43-member World U-20 team sees the likes of the Edwin Allen twins, Tina and Tia Clayton, Hydel’s Briana Lyston, Jamaica College’s J’Voughn Blake and Kingston College’s Jaydon Hibbert, just to name a few. The World U-20 Championships will take place in Cali, Columbia from August 1-6.
